Nourishment is Vital!

Here I am planting another blog post. What I'm about to share is figurative, but in terms of making something grow, I think you will get where I'm going with this.

In order for something to grow that you have already planted, it must be nourished. In nature that can mean, moisture by several different climate endeavors, rain or even snow. In the state where I reside, North Dakota, we had been experiencing a drought for the past several years. The 2 feet of snow that we recently received, is going to be a big help in that area. It's a great start to this kind of season. 

It has to continue and if you cease to nourish anything that you are involved with it will eventually die. That can mean just about anything you are involved with. It's our responsibility to do our part in helping with that nourishment. If you sign up to be a part of something, you do your level best to be part of that nourishment. That can be something as simple as your attendance and participation. It's sad to see something wilt and wither, but that is what happens when the involvement is no longer present and the nourishment stops. I said that what was being shared was figurative, but that does not mean that it does not hurt. 

If you work at something for years and start to see that growth, only to see it die before your very eyes it hurts deeply. It only takes one thing to keep it growing and if that nourishment is halted, it is almost impossible to have it grow back.

There is HOPE and that is what I want to bring out. You don't have to stay in that dark place where the nourishment was halted. You can start again by planting another seed. Begin a friendship which can bud as a result of bringing growth and nourishment to it. It's not an easy thing but it's worth the process... to see it bloom. It's a beautiful thing! 

Encouragement goes a long way and getting back to the most important ingredient in all of this, which is nourishment and it is vital! 

I HOPE this has given you something to start growing and blooming in your own way!

To My Best Friend in the Garden...

Hello, it's Brenda here, planting another blog post. This one is going to be much different and personal. A couple of years ago, I penned a letter to my best friend in life, my late mother and I'm going to do that once again. I've been missing her something awful and have so much to share with her. Emptiness in the Garden...

I hadn't planned to plant a blog post because lately, I haven't felt like there was anything of substance to share. It's funny how life can throw you a curve ball. Let me explain in the next paragraph. I was listening to Dionne Warwick singing 'Heartbreaker' on YouTube, when I received the text message that would take the wind out of my sails.  I was informed that my friend and kindred spirit had passed away on November 19th from complications of her recent surgery. I knew she had had this surgery and we messaged one another a few days after. I thought something was off, because it wasn't like her not to keep in contact.
