Digging with Brenda...

💛Well as promised, Bloom with Brenda is featuring a special guest contributor. Who better than the best companion I could ask for. Trevor aka T Man was my storyteller for Brenda's Brainstorm & Trevor from 2011 up until this year. You can still view the posts from that blog.

Here's the one and only T Man to share his pawspective. Take it away Trevor!

Well thanks Brenda! It's great to be here and see this new gig that you have created. I'm really digging it and I know your mother would be so proud of you. I thought she was pretty cool myself. Anyone who was kind enough to make my first dog collar is golden in my book. I've gotten a few more since. BOL I am one blessed golden and it will be 12 years this month since my arrival.

I know some of you have been missing me. BOL This will all come together at the end of this post and you will understand why I was asked to make an appearance.

Brenda's mother loved planting her garden. Now Brenda is planting blog posts. I love it! She is definitely keeping that promise to live her life.

Brenda has gone through some tough battles this year. I'm going to let you all in on a little secret. She is much tougher than she realizes. She not only advocates for others, but she has had to do a bit for herself as well. Insurance companies are strange animals and when you know something is not correct, you have a right to fight and make sure it's taken care of. It's exhausting, especially when you don't possess that much energy to begin with.

I don't know if you realize but living in pain pretty much 24/7 is like carrying around a ball and chain. Brenda does not talk about that with every person she meets. Like she has said before, you kind of get used to living with it. Doing things for others certainly helps keep your mind off of it.

This beautiful figurative garden that she has planted has certainly helped. I love the title; Bloom with Brenda as much as I loved Brenda's Brainstorm.

I know this time of year is especially difficult for Brenda. She has plans to keep busy and engage in social activities as much as possible. She hopes to get some reading done, something she has missed doing. Brenda's mother insisted that she learn to do Sudoku puzzles after her craniotomy to help exercise her brain. She really enjoyed them and has started once again.

Well now for the surprise. I think it's genius that Brenda was encouraged to share her poetry here. Wished I would have thought of that. BOL Here is one from 2012. It was actually about her life as a brain tumor survivor. Brenda has a dry sense of humor and I love it. The graphics for this one and "The Eviction of Mini" which many of you have seen, were done by one of her brain tumor peeps. Brenda has since put most of her poetry on graphics herself.  She has told others that you could actually jump rope to this poem. I have no idea what that even means. I'm a dog and I can't even jump. BOL You all know that I'm not real right? Brenda has done a wonderful job of bringing me to life. Her creativity keeps blooming.

The picture superimposed with this poem was taken right before Brenda's interview with NBC ND News on April 20, 2012, the day she worked with CreakyJoints for the first time.

I will end with that poem. It was a pleasure being your storyteller for this planted blog post. I'm now going to try and dig some bones. BOL
